The shaft mounts to a potentiometer on one side so you get accurate values. Keep in mind the travel can be a bit short for the handbrake, but I am using this mainly for the seq shifter and I figured it's better than using a plain old button. Keep that in mind if you're using this for a handbrake. But you can remix it
