Shaffer Linear Processor

Hi, I'm Clyde! I'm an NYC-based maker with an interest in film. Last year when I started experimenting with movie cameras, I quickly felt that I could establish a smoother creative flow if only I were able to process film at home instead of sending away and waiting a week every time. My first attempts, using a five gallon bucket and some plastic planters as an improvised daylight tank, were promising but inconsistent. It was then that I started sketching out an automated processing solution that could be built from easily obtainable parts on a relatively small budget. After months of design on paper, and support from MONO NO AWARE, I finally constructed the machine I present now as the Shaffer Linear Processor in less than a week. Today, I release this design to the global film community, for free, in the hope that it helps other artists bring their ideas to life!
