!! The jig has not been tested yet, but I will update it once its tested!!
I was unable to acquire the hardware to a larger knife sharpener I decided to make a sharpening guide for some cheap sharpening stones I got of aliexpress. they measure 158mm on the base and 22 in width.
all the similar designs I have come across have been for larger stones so I decided to make my own.
I have made guide blocks for the most common angles:
- 16 Degrees for a sharp but delicate edge.
- 20 Degrees for a common kitchen knife edge.
- 25 Degrees for a durable yet still slightly sharp edge, commonly found in pocket knives.
- 30 Degrees for a knife that sees a lot of heavy use such as cutting carpets etc.
