I use a sharpie every day to write info on plastic bags and this holder has made life so much easier. So far the sharpies have'nt dried out while using it. While this is a handy tool while in use, I recommend using the proper lid for long term storage.no lid to take off and put back onno lid to keep track ofno more black marks on the fingers from missing the lidalways have your sharpie where you need itcan be colour coded to match the pen
