This is a remix of the work of MrFuzzy_F from 2019. For all i know, everybody's been using much better techniques for years, but here I am. I printed his design, and it served me well for 3 tallish cabinets.
Drilling this holes is surprisingly tedious and unastisfying. The standard 32mm gap feels very narrow, so I found myself wanting to skip every other hole, and wished the jig were longer so i could have an even gap and work faster.
So that's what I did. The jig now has 7 holes, which means you can drill 4 holes every 64mm. That's about it. It's still an incredibly tight fit on my printer, even though i made the bearings holes a tiny bit bigger. And I chamfered a few edges.
I've printed it, should do the trick for the next cabinets i'll have to drill. The real solution is probably to make a jig using plywood of MDF, so that it's longer, but something has to be said about the practicality of pressing a button and having the printer work for you.
Bearings are 625, i got a bag of 10
