[Shield48] Face Shield

Shield48.eu was the result of the 2020 March HackForce hackathon to tackle the COVID-19 crisis that has struck Europe unexpectedly. Face shield’s primary function is to protect eyes and nose from direct contact from liquids and aerosols. A secondary effect of the face shield is to limit access to face from direct touch from possibly contaminated hands. Main key factors of this design is to make it simplistic with minimal components and manufacturing time. This face shield is designed to be used in emergency situations for medical workers to provide additional protection for eyes and nose on top of glasses and/or face mask - respirator. Shield48 design is a collaborative result between Shield48.eu team's engineers and Paul Stradins Clinical University Hospital's Infectology consultation team.
