This is my attempt at a controller for use with ship simulators (Ship Simulator Extremes, Nautis Home etc)
This is definitely a work in progress but it is fully functional right now. I made the decsion to use an ESP32 because I had one on hand however the Arduino Pro Micro is a much better choice due to having a better analog digital converter and I'll probably migrate to that in the future.
For the non printed components I used
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09NX39NWR - 10k Linear Potentiometer
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MCK7JMS - 10k Rotary Potentiometer
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WCG1PLV?th=1 - ESP 32
These are all things I had from other projects so not the best choices but they seem to work fine so far.
For setting up the ESP32 I found https://realrobots.net/configurator/ which is a web based configuration tool for the ESP32 that lets you turn it into a bluetooth game controller with zero programming.
I havent actually put a bottom lid on the enclosure
