Shroudbound

DescriptionThis is my first upload, inspired by my wife’s favorite movie, Meet Joe Black. It’s a minimalist, abstract sculpture of two lovers curled together inside Death’s shroud. The forms are smooth and simple, focusing on the quiet intimacy between the figures and the enveloping presence that surrounds them. The piece reads well at small scale and aims to feel tender and a little haunting at the same time. Print NotesQuick and easy to print, but please use supports for the overhangs. The pointy tip of the shroud is fragile—remove supports slowly and carefully. I broke that tip on my first print attempt, so take it slow when detaching supports.
