The project was based entirely on tracking its energy. A while back, we learned that energy cannot be created or destroyed but instead can be preserved. Thinking this, we were misled into believing that the energy put into a motor of a car is entirely transferred into its motion energy.
However, as we solved two practice problems we realized that this was not the case.
We began listing places where energy could be lost, and what it would be transferred to instead, such as thermal, friction, and rotational forces/energies.
The goal of this project was to completely track the energy from the battery in the fan until the car through physics. This was accomplished by getting data from Pasco capstone, a physics tool designed in measuring different things and plugging in equations to find certain energies.
