Tired of paying $150+Tax+Shipping for your interlock for a Siemens 24 slot (48 circuit) panel? I am. FTIJPI. Tested, works great, use self tappers with a large conical head so you can tighten it to your desire, then angle grind the back of the bolts off.
This device prevents your generator from blowing up or back-feeding the transformer outside your house if you have this specific setup where your generator is coming through a breaker in your panel for power outages. It is not legal in Canada anyways so it's not even worth buying the $200 metal one. I reefed on the breakers to see if I can get them to both come on at the same time and it wouldn't budge.
