Most figure stands drive me crazy because they're so large and if you want to pack a display shelf it's not practical to double or triple each figure's square footage(inchage?). Often, all a figure needs is just a slightly bigger footprint to give them a great increase in stability. And if you're thinking about a whole shelf, stands can get expensive! Where these cost about $0.25 for 6.
I played with a couple designs before realizing the teardrop shape was the most versatile, it can be spun around to direct the support exactly where it needs to go for each figure. The pegs are designed for typical 6-7" figures-NECA, Marvel Legends, Black Series-and are not much larger than those figures' feet so they are very discrete and don't interfere much at all when lining up and posing a lot of figures.
