Another cable holder... This one was custom designed for our desk, which is about 1.9 mm thick. We wanted to hold two cables: one thick HDMI that kept falling behind the couch, and one thin lightning USB charging cable that also frequently vanished in the abysses of "behind-the-desk". So naturally when I assembled the printer, this was the first thing we made! It is my first print, and first thing.
The desk is a standard IKEA design and the clip should fit most of IKEAs furniture.
The object has two cable slots of different width:
- 7 mm (large, for an HDMI cable for instance)
- 3 mm (thin, for a charger cable)
The "pinch" effect we expected was kind of disapointing, so we stuck two small rubber feet on the ends of the clip to make it hold dearly to the desk.
The design was made first in tinkecad then tweaked in blender (to have the bent effect that pinches the desk).
