When the multi material unit is used with the Prusa MK3S+ the filament is sometimes pushed back through the buffer to the spool. It gets entangled and the result is a failed print. The check valve increases the friction when the filament is pushed back and thus keeps the filament in the buffer. It can be attached to the end of the 4 mm PTFE tube with a M3 screw.
