Simple test object to print with new filaments or to verify the printer is working OK. I use this to verify filament settings and to check my printers when I change anything.
It's quick to print and shows several factors well. The front edge is a constant 45 slop which shows layer stepping and is convenient for testing the sandability of a filament.
A small flat surface shows top surface printing quality. Two spikes on top show stringiness and strength. I squeeze these to see how strong the layer adhesion is. The smooth curve on the back helps show the layering, even after I've done the sanding on the front. Two holes, small and large check accuracy and bridging. The small hole shows accuracy by its roundness, easy to see the error at this size. The large hole has some small overhang to check.
