This is a very simple case for the GIMX adapter.
I used a USB-C Arduino Micro (the version with the headers on the bottom) and the USB-A CP2104 module. I’ll include pictures of all the components I used.
The fit inside the case is very tight, so be careful during assembly to avoid damaging the boards or the case. If it doesn’t fit properly, you can slightly scale the model in your slicer — the print is only a few grams, so reprinting it is not a big deal :)
Instructions:
1. Place the CP2104 module between the Arduino Micro pins, with the USB connector aligned at the end of the Arduino board.
2. Solder all the pins following the original GIMX wiring diagram.
3. Use a bit of electrical tape to secure the Arduino and the CP2104 together and prevent movement or shorts.
4. Insert the assembled adapter into the case.
5. Place the lid on top — it should snap into place.
And that’s it!
