This is a compact and easy-to-build hand wrapper designed for custom fishing rod construction. It can be used with a swing tip or another type of tensioning rod at the top, though it also works fine without one. The design uses a single M6 threaded rod to hold two thread spools—one on each side. In my build, I used two M6 bolts instead (since I didn’t have a threaded rod available), which required drilling an extra hole after printing. I also added bearings on one side, but these are optional. Hardware Required: 1× M6 threaded rod 2× M6 nuts 8× M6 washers 4× springs (to fit the M6 rod) 2× M6 wing nuts (for spool tension adjustment) 4× curtain wire hooks or eyes (to guide the thread) The wrapper runs smoothly and provides consistent thread tension, making it a simple and reliable addition to any rod builder’s setup.
