This is a simple, extremely crude, laser force "macroscope". Sort of. In some ways it's more of a touch probe, I guess. It's not a precision instrument, but with a light-to-frequency converter or a CDS cell and a 5 digit multimeter, you can pretty easily measure surface features down to ~10 microns.

I've added a V2 option, which has a replaceable sensor mount and is a bit easier to print.
