Simple Shotglass

Modeled from caliper measurements I took of a traditional shotglass, this 3D printed ABS version is watertight and impervious to being dissolved by alcohol.

Having only the most basic training in chemistry, I wasn't sure ABS would hold up to highly concentrated ethanol, so I did an experiment. I filled the shotglass with denatured alcohol (pure ethanol tainted with a little methanol to kill you if you drink it... required by U.S. law, believe it or not). I left the denatured alcohol in the shotglass for two hours. When the time was up, I strained the shotglass' contents through a paper towel into a clear plastic cup. I examined the paper towel for any black ABS residue. Finding none, I examined the contents of the cup. The solution appeared perfectly clear. Therefore, I concluded, it is unlikely that ethanol dissolves ABS.
