I created this version to simplify the design, rotating the watch parallel to the watch's rotor. The only moving part is the motor.
To assemble:
This requires:
- an ESP8266 or ESP32 microcontroller
- 28BYJ-48 stepper motor
- 1 1/4" cable clamp
- 6 4x3/4 wood/metal screws
- 2 1/8x1/2 stove bolts
Print all 5 pieces.
Connect Base to Vbox with 2 4x3/4 screws
Attach 28BYJ-48 stepper motor to Wall
Load Winder.txt into an Arduino IDE sketch. Build and upload to microcontroller via USB cable.
Attach the pins from the microcontroller to the motor board as defined in the sketch. Make sure to switch wiring wires 2 and 3.
Feed the USB cable for the microcontroller through the rectangular opening in the back of the Vbox and connect it to the microcontroller
Use a cable clamp to secure the cable, use a 1/8x1/2 bolt to hold it in place.
Connect the 5V out and Ground pins from the microcontroller to the same on the motor contoller board.
There will be 6 wires connecting the 2 boards.
