Note that the two gears on the both ends rotate in opposite direction. Brief descriptionAll three gears in this model are made of three heart-shaped plates stacked together with 120-degree phase differences. Each heart shape represents a single-tooth involute gear. A single plate alone cannot maintain continuous meshing, so by stacking three plates with shifted angles, we keep at least one plate always in contact with the mating gear.
