This 3rd Party Rigidbot Extruder Mount centers around the E3D-V6 all metal hot end and Mk8 hobbed drive gear - both exceptional designs in their own right. It has its own proprietary break out board for the Rigidbot ribbon cable which incorporates opto-isolated Proximity Sensor circuitry for Automatic Bed Leveling.The design also accommodates an inverted x-axis stepper motor which alleviates the twisting moment on the z-axis - a probable cause for the z-axis bindings issues.
