The SIRT laser is a great practice tool. However, it is set up for "iron sights" only. This plate will slide into the rear dovetail and provide a secure and stable platform to mount an optic. The optic footprint is for Leupold DeltaPoint Pro/Bushnell RXS100 or similar. Step file is include to modify for other optics.
After printing, insert two 4mm heatsets from the bottom to provide a connection to the mounting screws. I find that inserting a screw from the top which is then threaded a few turns into the heatset is very helpful in keeping it correctly positioned during insertion. If the mount bows out when the heatsets are inserted, file until all surfaces are flat again.
The mounting screws will pull the mount up against the frame for a secure fit.
