This is an attachment to a prosthetic hand that will enable the user to grip a ski pole. The outer shell is built on a hinge to clasp around the handle, and is then tightened around the pole with a velcro strap or string. The inside of the shell is to be printed with a rubbery material that ensures the grip needed to grasp the handle of the ski pole, and the rubber just needs to be glued into the shell. This project was invented in an SPU Engineering project that teaches the class about 3-D printers and their applications.
As a side note, the images above do not include the rubber inside because I did not have any of that material.
Also, insert a typical wire hanger as the hinge nail. It works perfectly and is very strong.
