I wanted to print a translucent skull and add an LED light to make it glow for Halloween. I found one in Microsoft 3D Builder and imported it as a 3MF file (included here). Then I converted it to an STL file (also included here) and sliced it. Unfortunately, I didn't pay close enough attention to the design and only supported from the build plate leaving some floating print areas higher up on the model. However, with extensive manual intervention I was able to save the print. If you attempt this, I strongly suggest a slow (30 %) print and traverse speed except during the stages that need to print bridges or overhangs then increase the speed to 40% - 50%. I also suggest printing a bit hot (210 Celsius) for translucent PLA. I made the layers .1mm to make the model seem a bit more seamless. I also used concentric infill patter as you can see from the pictures to avoid the print head from snagging on the infill when traversing. If I had to do this again, I would rotate the model to rest on the jaw/neck and add supports everywhere at around 75 degrees overhang.
