Skytrak+ Protector

I own a Skytrak+ golf simulator for which you can purchase a Skytrak made case that is supposed to protect it from errant golf ball hits. Over last year my Skytrak+, in the case was hit by 2-3 errant toe shots. This year a 3rd errant toe shot took it out and it had to go back for service. My wife actually came up the idea to had a “shield layer”, a 3D printed surface with foam padding being it to provide a compression gap in case of a hit. So off to the modeling software I went! I also decided to add external angular foam to help cushion hits. The foam was attached to the printed part with RSV which seemed to adhere to both PETG and ASA without difficulty. I drilled side holes, used velcro to provide a means to loosely strap the face plate in place. This is yet to be tested since being finished but tomorrow night it will undergo the first test.
