Slag Ballast Hopper

Here are files for a Slag Ballast Hopper derived from ex-Iron Ore Hoppers. Files are drawn full size so scale to suit your model.

The Charles Roberts designed wagons were used in private ownership and British Railways fleets. Some were later converted by BR to give extra cubic capacity for use as Slag Ballast Hoppers. In addition to hopper extension raves they also had crew riding platforms and hopper opening handwheels added.

Small details such as foot and hand rails and end ladders should be sourced from metal wire and etched brass for durability.
