Sliding Barn Door Ring Lock

After creating multiple versions of my prior lock and realizing that there might be simpler, stronger designs, I came up with this variant. This one is SIGNIFICANTLY more robust than the folding lock, yet also stays out of the way when not in use. The one weakness is that it will only work with handles that have something to slide over. You should be able to scale this model up and down as is required in order to make it fit your handle. One thing I've realized is that you want the fit to be fairly tight so that there is not a bunch of slack in the door. By default, this model fits around handles that are about 17mm in diameter and about 4cm from the wall. There is refinement that can be performed, but as-is, this one does a great job on my door and stays out of the way. I use 3M VHB tape to attach it to the wall.
