Slightly Larger Pencil Cap

I really liked the idea of the original thing, but it was too tight on my pencil, so I rebuilt it with a little more space, and also with thicker walls. The outside is now just slightly narrower than the pencil gripper I like to use. I have also added a small bevel to the opening, to counteract any elephant's foot that might make it tighter.

And I also figured, why not make a couple variants? You have four choices, as illustrated in the cross-sectional image above. You can have it with or without a hole at the top, as in the original thing, and also each of those versions can come in the original hex shape, or with a round pointy bit like how a real pencil is shaped. There isn't actually a notable difference in fit between the round and hex versions, though.

The extra space for the tip in the non-hole version is also rather shallower than in the original, because I figured I wouldn't need a whole 13mm deep hole. Currently it's 5mm, which looks like it's more than enough room, but
