Sling Stop

This sling stop is designed to be mounted to your hunting backpack shoulder strap and serve to keep your rifle sling from sliding off your shoulder while you are hiking. The sling stop should be printed with supports, with the flat side down. The supports can be kind of a pain to remove, but with a set of needle nose pliers and a pick, shouldn't be too bad. After removing all of the support structure, you can hit any rough areas briefly with a torch to smooth them over and get rid of deformed plastic discoloration.

The hole in the bottom of the sling stop is sized for a #8 wood screw, if this hole proves too loose on your print, you can try a #10.

Other materials required.

- Un-coated nail
- Torch or lighter
- Pliers
- Screwdriver
- No. 8 x 3/4" round head wood screw
- 1/8" x 3/4" washer

Recommended Installation procedure.

- Put on your backpack and decide where you want to locate the sling stop (I like it located high, but still on the front of the shoulder).
