*** Sunflower Slug Guard ***
This thing is designed to protect a plant from slugs and snails. I created it to protect my sunflowers from being eaten by slugs and snails when planted into the soil.
It works by surrounding the plant stem and 4 spikes hold it into the soil. The guard pulls open slightly to allow it to be put around an existing plant but it will go straight over smaller plants. The gap is small and can be closed by squeezing the guard together and allowing the spikes to keep it closed.
The cylinder sits on the soil and the cone creates a 45 degree inverted incline causing a challenge for the mollusc. Assuming it can get up the inverted incline, it then has to work its way around the lip. The edge is wide enough to fit copper tape to it if you wanted to add an extra level of protection.
Yes, you could just use slug pellets perhaps but this is a re-useable guard.
**Features**
4x soil prongs
Split side opening
45 degree incline
Rim for copper tape
Sing
