My own version of an Angle Miter Gauge
Customisable to your rail dimensions.
Customisable arm lengths.
Half degree precision marks.
Feedback appreciated ;)
Let me know if you need other rail shapes or other features...
How to print:
- Slicer settings "Horizontal Expansion" needs to be calibrated as there is no tolerance in my dimensions. Make sure a cylinder of 20mm will fit into a 20mm hole. Tight but not too much friction. As a reference, I use -0.07mm for my Ender 5 printing PETG. (Horizontal Expansion Calibration Tool: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4905876/files)
- No print support needed as it is already included in the STL.
- Slice and print AngleMiterGaugeKnob.stl
- Generate the lower part using OpenSCAD:
- Edit AngleMiterGaugeLower.scad for your own dimensions.
- Render.
- Export as STL.
- Slice and print.
- Generate the upper part using the same procedure.
- Make sure the pin of the upper part goes fully inside the lower part hole.
