I designed a custom shelf insert for my record player stand to solve a space issue: my Edifier 980T speakers were just too chunky to fit underneath. The original stand had legs that were 15mm thick and spaced 275mm apart, so I created a shelf that clamps directly to those legs, no mods to the frame needed. Print Specs:Material: PETG for durability and heat resistanceWalls: 3 perimeters for added strengthFasteners: 3mm screws at your chosen length, depending on leg thicknessInserts: Heated brass inserts for clean threads and repeatable assembly 🔗 Amazon link to the inserts I used Stand Reference:This mod was designed specifically for the Record Player Stand I purchased from Amazon, which has a clean mid-century vibe but limited clearance below the top shelf. My clamp-on shelf adds a second tier without compromising the aesthetic.
