Small Viking Warship

This was my first viking ship model and I learned a lot from it, mostly how to balance realism against printability.

The idea is that a 26-oar viking warship from around AD950-AD1000 should fit on a standard printing plate (22x22cm) like my FDM printer has, when you place it diagonally.

The model is now 2 years old and has been adjusted quite a bit, based on feedback that it has received. Blocks for the rigging, anchor, rudder and various masts/poles are included, as is a pdf file for a sail and of course a raven banner. There are two sets of oars, one chunky and easy to print out, the other ("oars new") thinner but more realistic.

I've scaled this down from the native 1:72 scale to around half that without much problem. If you want to avoid the marks that supports leave on the underside of the hull, there are alternative files that you can print out the hull in two pieces, vertically.
