SMART MINI

This is my entry for the bathroom mop challenge by Casabella. As I entered the standard mop challenge i decided to continue the trend from the design i entered in to that challenge. I have continued the brand and slogan of - "simply clean" and included this theme into my new design for the bathroom mop. This mop uses gripper arms to hold a disposable cloth. The gripper arms are clamped using tension springs which are released by an actuator, which is controlled by the user sliding the outer handle up and down. I have also included a plunger which is pushed through the opening in the shaped sponge. This is activated just after the gripper arms are released. The mop head swivels in all directions to gain access to hard to reach places. All parts have been designed with tooling in mind for plastic injection moulding.
