Smart motorised roller shades, heavily inspired by this design, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2392856
I wanted to use very cheap roller blinds from MerkuryMarket (some Polish manufacturer)
It uses 28BYJ-48 5V motor, 29 to 12 teeth gears, ULN2003 driver board and wemos d1 mini with ESPhome as firmware.
I'm waiting for solar pannel and battery, and plan to make this self powered from sun.
Movement is done through 16x8x5 bearings.
There are 2 versions, you can place motor on right or left side.
I added position for reed switch, to act as hardware endstop, with little magned glued or sewed to the blind, because if the device restarts for whatever reason, your stored calibrated positions would not be right anymore, so I'm editing the ESPhome code to accomodate this .
