Smart White Cane

On day-to-day blind people are not able to detect some obstacles such as tree branches, extinguishers or sides mirrors using traditional guide methods, like the white cane. This tool guides the steps of people who suffer from a visual disability and helps them locate and detect obstacles which are on their path.
Nevertheless, the traditional white cane only allows them to detect obstacles that are below the waist and they are exposed to high or suspended objects that could hurt them.
Therefore, the objective has been to design an economic gadget, easy and comfortable to use and adaptable to the traditional white cane of a blind person to help them detect this type of obstacles.
