A smartphone stand, with a complex locking mechanism, mainly consisting of plastic parts and a non-slip rubber mat. The possibility of the angular positioning resp. adjustment is 306 degrees, in 17 steps of 18 degrees. My simple animation shows the complete range of the angular movement. Totally folded this design has place enough - for example in a handbag for ladies. If you are interested to design your own - simplified locking mechanism - please let me know your result. Notes: - The dimensions of the compession spring are a proposal only and have TO BE new DEFINED (t.b.d.) individually. - An empirical determination of the spring's dimensions - for an optimal function - could be necessary. - The neutral lenght of the compression spring - in my design - is 10 mm. - Both end caps are pressed into the base plate. - The rotation lock of the end caps is realized by using cylindrical pins. - Model names of parts/components in German language only, - Possible production method: Injection Moulding - Motion study and FEM-Analysis not done. - Tooth gripping modeled without axial- and radial clearance ("Cut Out" in the assembly). My model is available in following data formats: STEP-file (.stp) of the complete assembly and all native files (.prt) and (.asm), in a (.7z)-folder, for interested users of »PTC Creo Parametric 2.0« and higher versions.
