Smartphone viewing stand

I'm doing the noob thing of running around the house looking for small easy things to design and make. This one is for my wife who was watching a video on her phone and asked if there was some kind of stand so she didn't have to hold it the whole time. She uses a Tech21 rubber phone protector that prevents most other stands from working. Well there is now.

The rod is some leftover 1/4"-20 and two nuts and two washers I found in a junk drawer. Around the rod is some 20mm leftover clothes hanger pipe from a closet project. To cushion the phone I used some 1/4" foam rubber tape with sticky on only one side, it came with a window winterizing kit.
