I Remixed the Z-axis group JetGuy Barry uses in his Core XY Cube which is for use in a 2020 aluminium extrusion frame type machine in such a way that it can be used in a (wooden) box type machine like the SmartRapCore printers.
The adapted parts work fine and use a 20 x 20 mm aluminium corner extrusion to support the printbed. To install these extrusions I have included some drilling templates which can be printed very quickly and help a lot to get the holes aligned. In my case I drilled 2.5 mm holes and tapped threads with a 3 mm tap to easily mount the extrusions. However drilling 3 mm holes and using nuts instead will of course also work.
The linear motion uses 10 mm rods, 4 LM10UU bearings and a TR8x8 leadscrew with a TR8x8 nut.
