______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________- Some time ago I purchased the smooth magnetic build plate with a carbon fiber–like finish on one side and the surface you can see in the photo on the other. From time to time I tried to do some prints, treating it like a normal rough PEI plate, but obviously I had to deal with major first-layer adhesion issues. For this reason, I decided to play around a bit with the settings, increasing the first-layer line width and significantly reducing the first-layer printing speeds, also with the help of using a brim. Finally, increasing the bed and nozzle temperatures by about 5 degrees only for the first layer also helps a lot, although it is not strictly necessary. This test model was needed for another project and is quite simple; it would be worth testing it also with multicolor first layers with specific details, to understand whether they can be further improved.
