Snow Stake Safety Cap

Put this over the end of a snow/driveway/marker/safety/reflective stake to help avoid injuries by people poking or otherwise impaling themselves on the top of a snow stake. I always fear that someone will slip on an icy sidewalk or driveway and poke themselves in the eye on one of these snow stakes. This cap will help to make serious injury less likely.

The OpenSCAD file is provided in the event you want to make adjustments. STL files for a few different inside diameters (10mm, 11mm, 12mm) are provided. The STL file SafetyCap12.stl (12mm diameter) should work for all.

There are also holes that can optionally be used for (#4 or #8) sheet metal or wood screw to fasten the cap to the fiberglass rod. These will otherwise fit snuggly on their own over the small plastic cap that is usually on the end of each fiberglass rod without the need for a screw.
