This design is meant to hold a bar of soap. This is a two-piece print. The top sits on the bottom piece and has holes so the water and soap drain into the bottom piece which is designed to drain any water and soap that falls off the bar of soap into the sink. When the top piece gets coated with soap over time, you can remove it and clean it holder.
