3d-printed lantern balls to replace the original fabric balls that decay outdoors in 1 season
We have these inexpensive Chinese solar lanterns hanging on our patio. I previously modified the strand of lights myself and spaced the lanterns better. However, after two years, the fabric caps have completely decayed. This is now the second time I have had to buy new ones and then just replace the caps.
So I tried it this way. Printed in “transparent” PETG in two halves glued together with super glue. I simply did the splitting in the slicer, but for those who find it convenient I included the STL halves as well.
