Recently I was tidying the garden and noticed my solar lights that sit on the edge of my drive and parking area were looking a little worse for wear. The tops were fine but the bases were looking a little battered, due to people kicking them accidently or damaged by the car. So I designed this socket and spike system for the light. In addition I added some reflective tape from Amazon (www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09PV2DFC1) to help when reversing onto the drive on dark evenings. Depending on how much expansion you experience when printing you may need to do some filing to make them fit securely. I made two sizes of spike, a smaller one where the car door opens and a larger one for the back of the drive. One modification I thought of was for replacement tent spikes but be aware that the peg would be best printed laying down for this use as the 'Grain' of the print would cause the print to shear very easily when tugged sideways. For those interested these are the lights I have (www.amazo
