Three arms on a base can support your two pieces to be soldered and the solder.When connecting or disconnecting the joints, push them together in line. If pushed together at an angle, the tines tend to break off. That does not completely ruin the finger, as a three time can bend much farther than a four tine.My original three base arms were rectangular and found to be too twisty and flexible. So I change the cross-section to a triangle.One finger holds a short roll of solder.The joint angle between two fingers is limited to about 35. If you want to go to a 90 angle in One Direction, break off one of the four tines on the female end of the finger.
