Solder Wire Holder For context I am a repair technician. One of my coworkers showed me this neat trick on wrapping solder wire around my fingers to make a pen like object out of it for more precision without the bulkiness of the whole solder spool. I used this trick for a while and after noticing that it is a bit flimsy and has a tendency to bend with my fingers while in use its hard to correct that when I have a soldering iron in my hand. So I thought it would be useful to make a rigid body for this trick. That's where I came up with this 3d model. You insert one end of the solder wire in the hole and bend it as seen in the second picture, you then wrap the solder wire around the holder while still attached to the spool in the same direction that you bent the wire in that hole (creating a hook to prevent slippage when winding). then when you feel satisfied with the amount of solder wire in the holder then you can cut it off the spool.
