Designed to hold a standard roll of solder and to be a single part to avoid any of the wobbliness the usual ones have.
Print in red for the leaded solder and green for lead free.
As they're robust, rough handling doesn't matter, making them very handy for grabbing and then plonking out the way when finished.
The roll is a 500g roll of 60/40, 0.7mm solder from multicomp, with an inside diameter of 20mm, outer 63mm and length 57mm.
The holder should take anything with a 19mm or larger bore and up to 65mm long.
Through the centre of the support "rod" is a 5mm hole. This is just in case it snaps and needs to be reinforced with an M5 rod or other such stick like thing. I printed these more than a year ago and have not needed this fix so far.
The feed hole is 2mm in diameter, so any reasonable diameter electronics solder should fit through it. Probably best to chase through with a drill bit but I got away without doing so. The back of it is conical to make poking solder
