Soldering Iron Box

Here is a model I created to give a gift to a person I work with. Originally, I purchased the USB Soldering Iron as a gift but then I got my X1 Carbon and had to make a box for the gift. The soldering iron comes in a nifty foam cutout which I reused. All I had to do was make the box. It's a simple design with a sliding lid. In the original version I printed, I put the company logo on the lid and debossed it. I used my AMS and printed the logo in Blue with the bulk of the lid in white. Looks great. The models I included here have a blank lid with plenty of real estate to add whatever personalization you want. The print is two plates. Profile is for X1C with a 0.4 nozzle, Textured PEI plate and a 0.2 layer height. Only uses 130g of filament. I had to print the box on its side for strength at the slot. I did not use any support.
