I thought I'd throw my hat in the ring with a base to hold soldering wire. I know there are a zillion of these on Thingiverse, but I wanted some things:
1. To practice modeling things in [Onshape](http://onshape.com).
2. Magnets! Looking at the models around, I figured the thing would slide around while I was pulling solder out of it. So I built it to fit [the 1/2" x 1/8" nickel-plated neodymium magnets](http://www.mcmaster.com/#5862k969/=x6lxm0) I have.
3. Multiple spools! This is designed to fit my spools.
One last caveat: the thing is designed to fit around some random (really nice) piece of stainless steel rod that I found in an old DVD drive. If you don't have one of those, you might want to modify that rod hole either before or after you print.
If you have an Onshape account, you can access the parametric version of this model [here](https://cad.onshape.com/documents/3b6de5b6816c4a089c64ec20/w/7c8f88eb70f847689b536359).
