Solid Model Zoetrope

Here is my first attempt at doing this. Took some time to set up, still not right (it has a pointed side) but I'ts a work in progress, and will be posted as such.

More or less a storage spot so I can share the file while I work on it.

UPDATE: I have created a full one now, with 12 frames. I also included a stand, so that you can attach it to the top of a standard size (6" Mag Light).

Of course, you want to print the movie reel with a transluscent materials. I would bet a metal flake would be the best. I would also suggest covering the bottom of the movie plate with black paint. I thought about it a little too late, so it will have to be tomorrow, but a separate thin layer printed in black should do the trick.

Press the MagLite into the hole from the bottom. It should press fit nicely. Next, take the movie reel, and place it on the cone shaped side. Give it a spin... Oh, turn on the flash light. :)
